Re: Changing DS3 fuel injector

It's more of an engine than the model - there were a lot of other models, but you'd need to ensure that it was a DV6C and of the same sort of build date - so it won't really help as I could list 10 models - but they would have to fit the criteria.

As you can see from Paul's previous post regarding his 308 DV6C, he has a different injection system on his so has different injectors.

The best thing you can do is Google on the part number and enclose the part number in quotation marks, so that it only returns results with that part specifically mentioned.

I think officially I have a DV6FC engine variant.

Is it the 110 engines that have this type of injector? Seems as rare as rocking horse poo where as the other type is readily and cheaply available.

No, necessarily Tom. Engine type and injection system fitted.

What are you after - a new, factory / properly reconditioned or used injector?

Used unfortunately due to the prohibitive cost.

Tom, forget the other car models. Look at this from the part perspective.

So if you go onto the bay of evil and use either of the injector part numbers I gave you, this will give you loads of options for the injector. It is crucial you get the correct injector - so always use the part number not the vehicle database as these are invariably useless.

So looking at the original injector part, (9802448680) and putting that into ebay, this is what you get - plenty of choice - just make sure that the specific poart number is shown in the listing as sometimes sellers will use more than one part.

Which one is that? Is it shown on the parts diagram Marc posted?

No 12) the injector clamp bolt?

If it's the same as on my car that should be changed anyway as it's a stretch bolt.

Just to confirm Paul- these parts? I’ve lost it on injector 4 but circled both of these for clarity.

Ah, not bolts - nuts.

Those are part of the pipe and shouldn't come away from the pipe. I think you're going to find a replacement pipe assembly. Marc will be able to post up the part numbers of the pipes.

That's the part he's quoted: 1570Q2 (Item (5) on the diagram. It comes as a complete part with the nuts on either end. They don't sell the nuts separately, but the good news is it won't break the bank: £12.72 inc. VAT.

Just make sure it is pipe (5) as each pipe is a different shape, so has a different part number Tom.

EDIT, same part number as on our 308 out of interest.
