Well we've had a bit of a whinge about hybrids on the global car news thread, but this is an iconic hybrid which many devoted followers will travel miles to see/smell/hear/feel/touch and maybe even taste and photograph the clag from its exhausts. Wonder if the Toyota Prius will evoke such emotions given time......

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
This seemed worth sharing... definitely the best looking random snap I've taken in a while...
Is it just me, or could this photo have come straight out of a glossy sales brochure from 30 years ago?
Seemed worthy of sharing.

As warm and inviting as a country pub sporting some real ale, Zel. Lovely photo.

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
I have returned from packing up my mate's house ready for the move to the mainland next month. After grafting all day every day I ended up like this:
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

I knew they were still out but have walked past them without looking for the past few days.
Not very observant

I came across two interesting "goblets" at my mate's house. I've had a quick search on the web but I thought I'd ask if anyone knows anything about these:

Maybe a special glass for consuming this sort of stuff or maybe a Mallorcan version of Absinthemickthemaverick wrote: ↑10 Jan 2020, 09:51 I came across two interesting "goblets" at my mate's house. I've had a quick search on the web but I thought I'd ask if anyone knows anything about these:

If you like a Trolley bus, old cars, and a jolly tune pop over to the
Public Transport thread
Here's a taster in a screenshot. When did you last see a bubble car overtake a Trolley Bus

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
OK, Neil, you did ask...
This is an evening shot from our terrace, out across Torre del Mar bay, with Gibraltar in the distance.
The maximum distance you can normally see to the horizon is 3 miles - from ground level for a 6-footer.
Up where we are (406m above sea level), you can see 24 miles.
Gibraltar is 90 miles away . . . so how can we see it?
Usual Big Prizes for the answer

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Now that is excellent stuff Chris. Fits in with my interpretation of Micks thread on 2020 misty mornings etc which did expand a bit into dawn and dusk sort of landscapes.
Today has been one of those wheres my camera moments? Had it down at Gosforth today nowhere to be seen when I got home. When did I last have it? Getting into the car at Marks and Sparks maybe...dropped it in the car park......well one phone call later.....down the side of the couch from which I was watching the Rugby this afternoon
So no original pics today.

Totally agree there Neil, the picture is perfect for the Misty Mornings thread, perhaps you could copy it over Chris?NewcastleFalcon wrote: ↑12 Jan 2020, 22:19 Now that is excellent stuff Chris.
