Side light holder C5 mkii. Off side

My front offside side light hasn’t been working for a couple of weeks.

Finally had time to check it today.

The white plastic holder where the lamp slots into has melted! The lamp had been replaced about five months ago. I think the holder wasn’t pushed in all the way into the headlamp unit when refitting and this has caused heat to build up.

Does anyone know if the lamp holder is available to purchase? Or will it be a trip to my nearest scrap yard?

For the Halogen lamp version, the bulb holder is shown as Item 11 below:

Part number: 621557

Now the fun part, £37.31 inc. VAT from Citroen.

So maybe your first option is the way to go.

Incidentally if you have the Directional Xenon discharge lamps, the part is not shown as available.

I’m really unsure as to why the bulb holder was not sold separately for the discharge models as both take the same H6W bulb.
