the GT in France is now officially the +1, the Felt from here will go over in September.
Whyte 801 V2 27.5 , Matt Granite Orange/Khaki, 1x 10 30 front ring / 11-46 cassette. the front ring will be changed soon to a 28 -proper 'granny' gearing
close on 30 miles in 2 rides so far, feels good.

Here's a photo of my daughter's bike, don't ask me what it is but it's in the location of her daily early start ride.

Re: On your Bike
Old Uns, are you intending to cycle to everest base camp with 28/46 combo?? std 32/46 combo replicates a 22/34 granny set up, if you choose a new front ring, try and get an Oval, they really do improve your power delivery,
had an absolute shocker out yesterday, head wsnt in it which resulted in finding every excuse!! mind, was a smidge damp, and a lil bit blowy down here!!

Re: On your Bike
Might seem like Klingon sometimes
28 granny ring is for a still far from fit 58yr old who has no interest in downhill speed. Not dropped into the 2 lower cassette rings so shouldn't be an issue for me.
Nearly impossible to get a 28 for the BB on it, too new apparently, so in from the States so an Oval is like the usual proverbial fireguards/ashtrays etc.

Re: On your Bike
Scratch that, having just had a quick spec check it's the suntour own, not had one in to play with yet so can't help regarding alternative rings! Will have a nose through the teade pages and see what info is available dreckly!

Re: On your Bike
You want to fit one of these to your mechanism. I'm sure it'll transform the way you cycle

Re: On your Bike
bit late as you've already checked but Suntour BB, narrow wide direct fit, Shimano 1 x 10
LBS rang their supplier but it seemed that this BB is fairly new, enough to kit out New builds but no spares built up yet hence purchase from states

Re: On your Bike
so i'm thinking pedals on centre cog with direct drive to the elliptical wheels...should work, right?
steering not an issue as i crash into all and sundry anyway

Re: On your Bike
Looking at the images around, the specific fit for the chainring is a Suntour only, often they will design the new kit on licence with one of the main companies to allow a multitude of fitments, but at the moment there is little Info on them for replacements, suntour rings are cheap enough, and most use the crank as an upgradeable unit,

One of my customers has a Raleigh Milk Race road bike still with original tyres! He bought it, rode it for a while then passed his driving test.... Spent the last 30+ years at the back of his dad's garage!
