Steering wheel doesn't return to center automaticlly

Hi to all,
C5 x7 2010, 120kw. A few days ago I have noticed problem with my steering wheel, it doesn't automaticlly return to center after right or left turn. If turn right it goes back till around 2 o'clock and stays there, if turn left it goes back till around 10 o'clock and stays there. I didn't noticed any other problem, I can turn the steering wheel very easy side to side without any problem and noice. It's very accurate when driving. At higher speed, cca 70 km/h, I tried some fast quick right and left turns and released the steering wheel and it allways returns to center automaticlly. It drives in straight line, doesn't pull at any side. Can anyone help with this issue? Btw, I have put new front brakes, discs and pads. Tires are new Michelin Primacy 4. I haveš looked under the car and steering rack, as I could, no trace of leaking.

Mario - this system is not self-centring! I.e. not Diravi steering that you had on most of the CXs for example.

Depending on your model it will have either a coupled mechanical pump or most likely be the electro pump variant. All this will do is provide increased resistance at speed (less powered assistance the faster you go) and more assistance at slower speeds - but it does not self-centre.

What you may find is that your tracking is out which could affect the steering geometry and prevent the wheels from returning to dead ahead.

The caster is not adjustable on a lot of modern cars - so things to check are tyre pressures and tracking.
