Hi all
Since I changed my computer I am not getting any post notifications, probably something silly I have done - or not done. Can you help.
Thanks
Peter

Re: Not receiving post notifications
That'll most likely be down to your email client. Do you use an email client like Outlook or the built in mail programme in windows? If so, you need to configure the mail client to enable sending and receiving of email messages. Otherwise just use your browser to log into your email provider's email web interface.
Changing your PC won't have anything to do with the Forum notifications Peter - only whether you are set up to receive any email in general.
If you have set up a client and are receiving other email, then check your spam or junk folders as they may be going there until you add the Forum to the safe senders or tell your email client these posts / notifications emails are not Junk.

Re: Not receiving post notifications
Also Peter,
Go to your notifications setting page: ucp.php?i=ucp_notifications&mode=notification_options and make sure that the boxes are ticked for the kinds of notifications that you want to receive. Some email notifications were disabled for some users during our recent problems with Hotmail etc.

Re: Not receiving post notifications
Thanks for the help. I have been to the notifications page and all the boxes in the first row are ticked and just the second one for private messages in the second row.
What I am not getting are any replies to posts I have made, including this one, I have only just found by looking at the forum that I have replies to this one! I am getting replies from other forums but not from here.
Peter
I am using Outlook by the way.

Re: Not receiving post notifications
Did you check you Junk folders as suggested? You may find they are being sent directly there until you flag them as 'not junk' - which I mentioned in my last post - you didn't confirm if you checked this.

If you want to get email notifications of replies to your posts, you will need to tick the appropriate box in the email column on that page.
