I would be wary of the one linked on ebay, the front panel photo shows a RD4 front panel, not RD45 - RD45 has a MUTE button to the right of the CD slot. That unit also has only a single antenna port (as do most of the units from China), we don't yet know whether your car has one or two antennae.

It is fairly common for the chinese vendors to take a RD45 intended for some other car and fit a second-hand RD4 front panel to fit (for example) a C5. There is nothing wrong with this, but you need to be aware of what you are buying.

You also need to check the software version of your EMF-C display (the one that displays the radio channel etc, it must be version 71 or newer to support bluetooth. This can be interrogated with diagbox, and is printed on a label on the back of the display assembly. My 2011 Peugeot had V72, so was OK.

I bought my RD45 and ancilliaries from https://www.aliexpress.com/store/2782050 which is a bit cheaper.

Thanks for the advice - I think the picture in the eBay ad is a stock photo, but I’ll enquire. I’ll check out the link you provided too.

I know - it's just better that you are aware of what's involved beforehand. If you have another C5 in mind, and want an idea of specs, just let me have the Reg if you don't have the VIN and I'll be able to advise on options etc.

@Mike - Aiden has a single tuner system. I also clocked the aerials and assumed stock photos. They obviously sell these kits ready to go - so would of thought they were all configured appropriately beforehand - but then this is ebay... :-D

That’s again very much appreciated, I realise now that I have picked a very low spec model, but for what I need it’s going to be fine. Turns out it’s far rarer to have a low spec car than a high spec - I think my car may have been a fleet car to begin with.

All this for a bit of Bluetooth streaming!

A bluetooth receiver/FM transmitter would be a lot cheaper at a cost for quality.

Something like this.

Thank you, I have purchased a similar device that also transmits DAB radio. If I get on with the car, I may look to upgrade to the RD45 etc.
