Re: C5 Eolys Question.
Can anyone help me please. I want to add some Eolys but not sure where to fill from. I heard you can get a special filling kit and fill it from somewhere near the rear nearside wheel arch (gravity fed). Any help would be appreciated.

Ok, have a look at my post here: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=41994&hilit=Eolys+W ... 90#p571982
Send me a PM with your VIN and I’ll be able to tell you the correct additive fluid you need.
There are 1lt bottles or 3 lt bottles, with and without filling kits. You will also need a Lexia to reset the additive counter after successfully tipping it up.

Re: C5 Eolys Question.
Is your car a Mk 1 or a Mark 2 (facelift) model? The Mark 1 2.0 HDi cars don't have a DPF and therefore don't need Eolys.

Re: C5 Eolys Question.
His signature says a MK II Paul, so I've gone off that assumption.

Re: C5 Eolys Question.
I don't see any signature and the My Cars info says "Citroen C5 2.0 Hdi VTR 2005" so I thought it was just possible it was a late reg Mk 1.
Where is this signature? Mine is visible (to me at least) and shows the usual three lines of rubbish.

Re: C5 Eolys Question.
He hasn't created a signature it seems Paul - and yes, I just read in form the 'My Cars'. I've never seen a 2005 MK I to date, but only the MK I and II in 2004 at the changeover in the same year.

Ok, so have a look at my post here:

Your build date is 12183 and you have a DW10CTED4 163 engine, which is a Euro 5 engine, so your click fit union in your Eolys tank should be Blue and you will need EOLYS Powerflex fluid.

Re: C5 Eolys Question.
It is usually filled with 3 litres at the factory, and refills are available in 1, 2, 3 or 5 litre kits.
Has the low fluid level warning appeared yet? The quantity remaining in the tank is always estimated as it is not physically measured. You will need to rest the counter when you top it up using Diagbox.

Re: C5 Eolys Question.
Hi and welcome.
Your C5 X7 has a build date code of 12222 (26th April 2010), so you should have Blue click fit connectors on the Eolys Tank, but in any case it needs Powerflex Additive.

Re: C5 Eolys Question.
^ Most PSA 2.0l diesels (and many 1.6l) from the last 15 years at least have a DPF with additive - but from about 2013, PSA started rolling out their Blue HDi technology with SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction), so in addition to DPF additive, you also needed AdBlue which further reduced NOx Peter.

Re: C5 Eolys Question.
Thank you very much Mine is a 2008. What happens if I add the fluid without resetting it? I think I did on my 2001 mk 1? I think you are going to regret asking me to join.
