Windows 10 knows when it's beaten and outclassed :)

And now in the latest incarnation it does not even try to fight against such overwhelming odds any more... It just lies down and raises the white flag in the form of a BSOD :wink:

Marc, you need to work on it a bit as your BS meter has not quite hit the stop yet ;) :lol:

Maybe you need to do a bit of blue-sky thinking, harvest some low-hanging fruit and push the envelope a bit more...

Years back a friend of mine found an unusual box in an electronic 'junk mine' type of box. It had a potentiometer with a whole lot of electronics, and a series of LEDs (mainly green, with a couple of red ones at one end). What made him laugh out loud was what the label on the box was;

I know that Windows 10 is not universally popular around here, but be aware that you only have until December 31 to get a free upgrade from most versions of windows 7, 8 and 8.1. You need to claim that you use assistive technologies, but no proof is required. see (for example) https://www.cnet.com/how-to/microsoft-w ... -features/ and https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/accessi ... s10upgrade .

I couldn't get it to work so bought a product key from eBay for 7 quid. It installed but for some reason partitioned the drive so I formatted with G-Parted and reinstalled. Then the WiFi kept dropping out every 5 minutes, a hunt online eventually sorted that. Then loading drivers it all locked up but right now its working. Can I turn Cortana off? Its a pain.
