For some reason that I can't be bothered to fathom, Google didn't find Easydiagnostics' web-site.

Strange - Google hit it right off for me.

I've recently bought a "full chip rev C" Diagbox VCI and have managed to install Diagbox, I have updated the versions to 7.62.

From reading this thread is it best to not upgrade any further? I will be using it for my 2008 C5 X7

Great, thanks for letting me know.

Ill be honest, I was a bit nervous about causing damage to my car by messing with Diagbox but it seems pretty straight forward, definitely worth the investment. First thing I did was check the status of the DPF and read all of the historic error codes. Luckily my car wasn't hiding too much.

Are there any options that it would be advisable to change on the BSI menu or any other for that matter that would be beneficial for the car?

cheers!

Well if you want your DRLs activated, you can do this too. I'll have a look at the correct setting later for you, but make sure you don't choose the option for them to come on with other lights.

Great, thanks.
Any particular reason for not activating the DLR's with the sidelights?

Yes, I think it's to do with different countries.

Lexia, I need a refresher course.

Post by Gibbo2286 »

I've had the Lexia for a very long time but never used it, I've got a laptop with diagbox 7.57 but where do I start?

I have it up on the screen and Citroen selected but it now pops up an authentication box, what next please?

Sounds like you've chosen an option that needed to "phone home" and it was deactivated. If you didn't backup the relative file (appdiag), you'll need to re-install I'm afraid.

The laptop's not connected to the internet so I doubt it's tried to 'phone home'

I may have misread your problem, but i think mine's de-activated before now without a connection.

Don't suppose you can revisit the offending point and either screencap or post the exact wording you're stuck at?

If it is asking for activation, there should be an automatic option, or a manual option (manual will show a key on the option). If this is what is being displayed you should choose manual activation and then enter the credentials for the version you were given Gibbo.

If it does not give you these 2 options, then it will have been deactivated and you will either need to replace your licence file (Appdiag.sys) that you should of backed up at original installation to the following location:
C:\AWROOT\BIN\FI\APPDIAG.SYS as Mike has said, or if you don't have that file, a reinstall after a thorough clean up is required. Unfortunately the files are not transferable as they are coded to the hardware of your individual system, especially the network adapter card.

It has the authentication box with the two empty boxes to fill, I think the first box is where something like scary1 went on the original set up and the second has a key motif.
