There isn't a repair manual (printed/digital, in a single release like the Haynes), but there are complete procedures available at service.citroen.com (or its offline backup solution) for almost every imaginable thing regarding all the Citroens, including the C5 X7 (2008+)

There is one available in French from Revue Technique Auto. You can have it as a PDF or an electronic online version. The PDFs are of course protected so not easy to copy and paste, otherwise a very useful manual with lots of pictures and a reasonable price. Just choose your Make, Model and Engine. Here's the link:

I've read somewhere that Revue couldn't get some copyright information from PSA regarding the maintenance procedures and that some crucial information might be missing (compared to the Service Documentation) ... never had one in my hands, so I can't say if this is true or not ... but they should at least have around 200-250 pages however, so there's bound to be some good info and schematics contained within

I bought an online one a while back to get some trim removal diagrams when I repainted the internal door grip trims (where the paint was so thin it rubbed off), but because they are protected, it was not possible to copy the web text for translation - down to encryption, so I got a refund as wasn't much use to me. There was a partial work arround - saving the page as a PDF (which plasters your email as a watermark all over every page to identify you if they find parts shared) which you could then open in your PDF reader, then copy and paste parts of the text into a tranlator......! But of course, as most know, PDF pages are assembled differently and with the diagrams, makes it hard to select all the text you need - so a lot of work unless your French is perfect!

The quality of the pictures is good from the small part I used - so depends on how much you will use it and how much patience you have. Interesting about the maintenance part Vab. I would only really use if for the diagrams for removing and assembling though - I leave the maintenance to the garage these days

I got it from emanualsonline as 3 CD's. It's a bit of a rigmarole to get it installed but the info is all there. Mine is a 2009 X7, so similar to yours.

The X7 is the official Citroen mark of the C5 from year 2008 onward (used together of course, C5 X7)

Citroen added the "x" so owners could go the the X Rally every year and join the FaceBook "X Section" group

Back on the emanuasonline website, there are the same six, four-star reviews being repeated on every page - whether page 1 or page 60! and not a dodgy review listed. - I wouldn't use them personally looking at the independent Trustpilot reviews.

The Emanuals install discs will basically be the same as the ones that come up on eBay or Torrent sites. In the past I've got installs via both eBay and Torrents and yep, they are a pain to install, but in the end they're worth it.

That can't be right ... the entire official Citroen Service Backup as of 2013 was 14 GB in electronics diagrams, and slightly over 9 GB for the service documentation ... for all the models starting from AX/ZX and similar generation cars up till DS5
