That is the sort of random bullseye I love Richard, and definitely one of those "what are the chances of that happening?" coincidences. 5.3 Million images on geograph to chose from, and I come up with one from another RichardW from the backyard of The RichardW moderator of this parish!

Neil, yes, BR Blue is a lovely livery but my favourite is Malachite Green that many SR 'Spamcans' were painted in..

Very nice too when the Malachite Green is combined with a bit of "Sunshine Yellow" detailing....not a "Spamcan" but a very nice example of this version of Southern Railways Livery.

I reckon my (very) early VW T25 fitted the description pretty well!

Just sorry I had to let it go as it was honestly great fun to work on.

Don't reckon there are all that many vehicles that you can leave sitting under a tree for ten years and get up, running, driving *and* stopping in less than an hour with naught but a fresh battery, one piece of fuel pipe and a hammer.

2CV. I love working on them. I'm also strong enough to do every job bar lifting the body shell off alone! Engine removal, clutch swaps, gearbox swaps. Done them all. Swapped a gearbox once in less than an hour with my bro on a steep hill outside my mum's - including removing and refitting the engine!

Picture of the day from geograph is a piece of sculpture. Gateshead has the "Angel of the North"....the moors above Burnley has the "Singing Ringing Tree". Yes , I like the idea of that..a sound sculpture.. if I am passing by that way I'm sure I will be tempted to make a detour to hear/see it. Bet Hurricane Doris made it sing
