Re: Lexia group discount through moderator?

Yes a single disk with an autoload programme.
Mine failed to auto load though and it took me a lot of work to get it loaded manually.
Needed to dissable and remove a number of existing laptop programmes including antivirus.
Then Lexia3 insisted on ringing home.
Laptop was not enabled on my home network so it found itself an unprotected local wireless net connection.
It then proceeded to contact the Citroen website to upgrade the version.
I pulled the plug as I wanted to stick with the current version for now.
Loaded version works fine on an XM Mk2.

That's how the first three arrived Malcolm, all on one disc.

Make sure you turn off Wi-Fi when using Lexia to avoid it trying to contact the Citroen website.

Yes, it does Malcolm. If you have problems installing or activating it (the instructions are not 100% obvious) give me a call and I can talk you through it...

Lexia and PP2000 happily co-habit...

Will the Lexia software load with Windows 98 ?, or is Windowns XP the basic requirement. I have an old laptop with Windows 98 (Battery useless -like all old laptops) only 64 Mb Memory and a Celron 500 Mhz processor. The processor should be O.K to drive Windows XP & Diagnostic software, with the laptop doing no other function, but will probably have to upgrade the memory from the exixting 64 Mb to 512.
Wondering if anybody is in the same position with old similar type Laptops or have any views.

Given that '98 written in the old 9x codebase and XP is based on NT in all probability the Lexia won't run on '98. Even in the Lexia2 it runs under XP.

Hardware-wise the Lexia needs very little in the way of computer grunt so I reckon it's best to bin '98 and install a very basic XP on the laptop. XP is very compatible with lots of hardware and as the laptop is now quite old in laptop terms you may not even need any extra drivers for it.

You will need a screen resolution of at least 800x600 to run Lexia.

Where did you source the Lexia/software from, is it from the same seller as at the start of the thread? The reason I ask is that there are quite a few variations of the software.

Putting my professional hat on for a minute... Saying you get Error Code 11 is a bit like me saying I have 11%. Sadly it's meaningless by and large without context.

So, when and where do you see Error 11? What part of the install and is there any other information apart from Error Code 11? What is the title of the window it pops up in. Whereabouts in the install procedure is it generated and is it generated by Lexia or by Windows?

Give as much detail as possible and we'll be better able to help.

I've reinstalled mine on numerous times and never a problem - using the software supplied.

OK. did the instructions tell you to create an empty version.txt in the root of drive C:\. This seems very critical in V45.

I confirm that's the same version as I've installed.

So where and under what circumstances does this Error Code 11 appear?
