Re: Lexia group discount through moderator?

I agree entirely.

Regarding 2K it would of never seen a network connection so there would be little need for any MS updates. I'd of installed SP4 (I have it as the standalone exe) but nothing else.

Regarding a locked bonnet, I'm sure there's one Audi (I think?) model that does not have a 'user' operable bonnet, it has a letterbox where you can top up oil / screenwash and possibly coolant / brake fluid but that's it.

Is yours a Lexia 3 running off of a laptop or a Lexia 2 tablet?
It's running off a laptop under XP - last night I did a system restore to a time when there were no problems but haven't had the time to re-check it.

Actually I already find it an indispensable tool on all three of mine...

I rarely use my Lexia and tend to use the ELIT whenever I can. No booting, not laptop, no delay just plug and play :-D

Sadly, the ELIT cannot do anything newer than an S2 Xanta and does not really 'do' any HDi engines or the CPH.

Hmm, can't say I've come across that problem, does the LED light on the interface remain on after flashing three times after it's been plugged into the laptop?

I'm not sure the term 'styling' is in their vocabulary Richard.

There's a word to describe their looks: fugly

A new one on me too. Fancy I saw it once or twice on Lexia 2...

Also, have a look in the XP Device Manager and see if the ACTIA device is recognised and has a working driver loaded for it. If not or you see a big yellow question mark against an unknown device, try re-loading its driver.

Yes, the LED does all the proper stuff. I still haven't checked it out since the sys restore (back to July). Have turned off the horrid automatic updates on the laptop in question - all it exists for is Lexia/PP2000/mapping.

If it is Lexia rather than Diagbox you are running then try turning off the wifi connection (if left on), it might be that the Lexia program is trying to update it's software and the software in the interface.

I have ALWAYS turned off the wifi, the firewall and anti-virus when using Lexia and PP2000 when connecting. Never ever done an internet update, either.

DickieG wrote:I believe the price varies a little bit from time to time but here's a link to a recent eBay listing from Jim. The best thing to do is give him a ring (he's a very personable and helpful chap) to find out the latest situation with supply and price. Mine came with the 16 EOBD, the 2 + 30 pin Citroen plugs, the interface plugs into a standard USB port.

Diagbox is the later software used to diagnose very new (to most of us anyway  ) PSA cars say from about 2008ish, with this kit instead of having simply Lexia to boot up, Diagbox boots up then opens Lexia inside the diagbox screen according to model, well that's what I've worked out so far, I need to find some newer cars to play with to gain the additional knowledge to be exactly sure how Diagbox works, however Jim has posted this video on YouTube demonstrating Diagbox in action. The Lexia section of this kit works as per the traditional Lexia screens.

If it helps i can get you Discount if you contact me first

I don't think they are any simple answers to this Allan other than to keep trying to contact the supplier or replace it with a new one, I'm in the same situation :(
