Xantia strut top mount failure question

Latest update on the 7 strut heads under repair.
Have visually inspected and accepted the weld repairs.
Elastomer will be cast tomorrow.
So they should be back here by the middle of the month.
Have agreed that one of my strut heads will be cast in translucent material
We are considering the merits of a small production run of new XM baseplates. Would need a few more orders though.
It may be that new baseplates will be more important for Xantia strut heads.
It would help me to have a summary of the various types of Xantia strut head. This would complement my XM strut top knowledge. Similar info on C5 might help also. One reason for this is that I want to look at interchangability of strut centres. These are the one bit that will never be economic to manufacture from scratch.

Hi john,

Had a look through the shed, managed to get together TWO sets of Xantia 3.5mm Feed Tops, that need a repair, one would be quite interesting, as the base were the bolts attach it to the car has rusted right through..

Not had chance to see what spare XM tops I got...

Your not playing the game Jim.
I tried writing in about non CCC websites.
First time I was ignored.
Second time I got a minor slap on the wrist for not being 100% CCC.

Thank you for those of you that are looking of the spare duff strut heads.
I will see what we can do about collecting them to a central point.
How does the FCF transfer service work.

That's OK then John because I am a columnist in said magazine!!!

In fact, in next months Xantia Files I've published the links to this thread and to the epic strut top thread here in a short article on strut tops...

I'll have to give myself a good telling off I guess....

Perhaps collecting a load together at a meet would be good.
Id certainly be interested in putting some in to be remanafactured!
Ill have a look in the shed for the least rusted ones.
