Now this one perfectly blending in with its surroundings is an Isetta, a bubble car, possibly The Bubble Car.

I do remember a few of these oddities knocking around in the 1960's when I was a boy.

I believe this Mk2 Tina was quite well known in the area, being on a main road, but definitely not for sale despite its rather sorry state.

My pic is a couple of years old, but I suspect its still there.

Have no idea what's in front of it.

Tail light looks intact....a pair of "ok condition" mk II tail lights on e-bay for £85 + postage

Probably plenty of salvageable parts in the right hands, even if it is beyond resurrection.

Down in Lincolnshire last week, adjacent to RAF Conningsby (Battle of Britain Memorial Flight - well worth a visit!). We also visited the Bubble Car Museum a few miles down the road - and in the field adjacent where this pair:

MOT history for the BX lists it as last tested in 2010, and Diesel, so it must be a TZD Turbo. The blue one hiding behind the Puma is an Ami Service - rare as a rare thing!

And in the yard, this rather sorry looking wagon.

..and on micro cars in general loved this little original Mazda R360 (as driven by James May in his cars of the people prog). Bung an electric motor in one and price them at £5,000 I would have one today.

Real shame about that BX, which looks a tad sun-weary, but could have a half-decent interior.
I know from experience, though, that parking one of those up for a year or two on grassy ground rots through rather a lot of the underside pipework. 'Twas the fate of ours back in 1998 - will never do that again.

that's one impressively knackered Nova !! I'm quite amazed by the scale of the rot. Any idea how long its been there?

Would I be correct in thinking that using a Grassy area for a regular use Driveway would be nearly as detrimental to a car's underside as leaving it there? Street parking won't be great after we move house, but there is room to put in a Driveway in place of what is currently a front lawn; albeit it'll hardly be top priority.

Parking on lawns is never a good idea in damp/cold conditions, nope. The bottom of the car is permanently damp. Marginally less bad if the car is used daily (gets air flow over the underside to dry it).
Fine if dry/hot .

The trouble with parking on long grass (especially in a 'sinker' Citroen) is that there is very little air circulation underneath, and so moisture is pretty much constant. Even our thoroughly underside-waxed BX didn't survive.

If you have a grassy driveway, just keep it mowed!

After a long drive parking on long grass is pretty dangerous, I've seen grass fires started by catalytic convertors, did it myself once coming down the right of way past a neighbours house. (He was an awkward old sod, wouldn't cut the grass and wouldn't let me cut it.)

This doesn't get far these days..down to the beach at Cullercoats and back up to the boat park. Few bits of string to hold it together
