There is often a nice pair on "Celebrity Antiques Road Trip" and tonight's episode was no exception.

No I am not talking about Ann Widecombe and Craig Revel Horwood





Bit of a link as well because the road trip started off in Colyton in Devon, world famous for its grade II listed petrol station!



Some of the cars for the series are supplied by greatescapecars

but according to this if you have a suitable classic car the programme will pay you £100 a day for the use of your car and will return it valeted and filled up with fuel when they have finished.

I love those little Nash Metropolitans And by golly, are they little when you see one in the metal...

I used to watch Celebrity Antiques Road Trip simply to see the cars. The program itself is complete tripe but some of the cars they've used have been excellent....

I had no idea that they were other than Austin Metropolitans.
Used to see one when on my paper round, outside the Royal Hotel in Whitby. The only one I have seen in the tin. Quite liked it.

Well, I picked up a nice pair today, at the Drift Cafe at Cresswell, just behind the dunes at Druridge Bay

Just opened one of the mags above and came across this straight away. Worth the admission money on its own

I have a load of old copies of Practical Wireless with the same sort of covers.. They're almost as much fun as the magazine themselves..

This vehicle caught my eye today at Newcastle Quayside. Firstly the number plate was unusual (and reads as Alnwick to me so maybe its in the Duke of Northumberland's fleet) and secondly its a mini van, but not as we know it and very different from this

Ps this was undeniably a very nice pair, you get a better class of duck (to be more exact drakes) at the Port of Blyth Long before duvets became de rigueur the wives of these little fellas gave up their down to keep us warm at night
