A grand, tops, for that. Mileage etc don't matter. It's an Activa. However good they are, they are worth pence. I think Chris was about right when he priced his good one, with a known history at about £850..

All alarm bells ringing and much snorting and laughter at the words "sound investment'.

Re: Look what I just found!
OK, fair enough, I don't know the value of an Activa. I just thought it looked good .
I wonder if people would laugh at me if I posted the link to the one I found on Autotrader. What the h377! People need to have something to smile about, even if it is a prat who doesn't know what he is talking about. Sorry, no pics showing the Activa!

I know, I know, overpriced again!
EDIT. They have now added pics.

I'm 99.9% sure that one is the one we had a little while back - a very nice car was that.

Re: Look what I just found!
It is a shame that Activas are worth so little, as they are superb cars, if they are right. It is quite interesting seeing two highly priced Activas up for sale at the same time. If they are very very good then they might just well, it just depends if there is someone wanting to pay that much ... though when you can find decent ones for £500 and good ones for £800-£1000, there is little point.
The oldest one does look very nice and fresh.
Maybe we should start a plan to sell all Activas at higher prices, that way if someone really wants one they will have to pay good money for it
They are worth a lot more money in other countries. I wonder if they will ever increase in value here, Im not sure if I can see it

Re: Look what I just found!
I got a 2000(V) Dante red activa for £0 in 2006 which required some dash parts replacing which I did at the cost of £0 . Sadly I had to sell it due to lack of space . I eventually got £250 for it . It would have made a very nice car with £200/300 spentvon it .

Re: Look what I just found!
In 2004 we picked up a 1996 Dante red Activa with 64K miles for £300. In perfect condition apart from a scuffed front bumper which we had repaited. The car had just had a lot of work on the suspension, including a new roll control arms etc at the cost of £700 in total, at a very very local Citroen specialist ...bxzx16v wrote:I got a 2000(V) Dante red activa for £0 in 2006 which required some dash parts replacing which I did at the cost of £0 . Sadly it developed a leaky rear ram and at the time they were still hugely expensive and no known fix was heard of. So it was traded in with a value of £1000 against an XM. The XM was very overpriced and turned out to a be a very poor car, which we swiftly moved on at a loss. So much so that we could have kept the Activa, bought a new ram and have been quids in! To my knowledge the car only saw the road for another year and its not been seen since

Re: Look what I just found!
Good idea Chris Mines's for sale for £5,500 which I reckon is their true valueCitroenmad wrote: Maybe we should start a plan to sell all Activas at higher prices, that way if someone really wants one they will have to pay good money for it
I want that price as mine's especially rare being an S1 with full winter pack and sunroof.
For a further £500 I'll let the private plate go too
We just need to be patient as sooner or later the market will recognise them for what they are. I reckon an article in Practical Classics is needed. Franklin?

Excellent If they want a good example to feature in an article I'm more than happy for mine to be that car...Citroening wrote:I'll be seeing a few people that are in that field in a few weeks time Jim, and I can certainly mention it...CitroJim wrote:We just need to be patient as sooner or later the market will recognise them for what they are. Re: Look what I just found!
If it had a Ford or poxhall badge on I'm sure it would be a very different story . I'm sure the activa will have it's day .

Re: Look what I just found!
OK, I have found one that is probably a more realistic price. It may even be owned by a forum member.
