I own a C5 equipped with a RD4 radio that doesn't have the BT that enables it to serve as a mobile hands free. since I want to have the hands free option, I thought of the possibility to buy a RD45 radio and replace the existing one, but I think that it might be a little complicated (especially finding the right unit with the matching color panel...

on my c5 x7 the multifunction display has a problem. there is a bright spot on the middle of it and the info is (very) hardly visible. since I have the mfd from my previous c5 mkii, I would like to know if it's compatible with the one fitted in the x7? pic of the faulty mfd attached. Judging by the fact that the rear casing is white I would guess this is made by Borg. If this is the case, don't bother, it will die. The later screens were made by Johnson Controls and had a black case. I'd advise following Marc's suggestions and try and source a black one. To see the issues with the Borg units google '407 mfd'. I am investigating which variant of RD4 and display are fitted and check what components would be needed to upgrade my 308 CC for RD45. The VIN is VF3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff] .

My 2007 Peugeot 407 has the factory fitted RD4 stereo.

I've tried searching the Internet and looking at various websites, but I'm only finding information for citroen cars.

Is it possible to fit a RD45 to my car so I can have Bluetooth audio streaming? Mine is the grey stereo.

I think this is getting a little too complicated for me.

I think I'm going to get a Bluetooth and dab rds transmitter. Not cheep but it'll give me Bluetooth and dab without losing any peugeot features by fitting an aftermarket stereo.

My aux cable has finally arrived for my RD4, when removing the stereo there is still an input slot available on the rear- which got me wondering whether you can get a cable to plug into an iPhone (or even my old iPod classic) so that I can control tracks from the steering stalk?

You can replace your RD4 with a RD45 that has Bluetooth for handsfree and music streaming. You will also require a new MFD or at the very least your current one reconfiguring.

Just obtained a Peugeot 407 Sport SW 2.2 HDI.

It has the non GPS radio unit. I think it's called the RT4.

Is there a place that's cheaper than peugeot to get the code?also if I pull out the radio to get the serial number will the wiring come with it so it doesn't disconnect, or is the wiring fixed meaning as soon as I pull out the radio I'll be...

So I've bought RD45 replacement for the old RD4 to support BT music and phone in my Grand Picasso C4 2013.
I was able to configure the radio to work well (added the VIN to the radio using Lexia).

However, i can't see any option to enable the screen for adding Bluetooth menu.... as far as I know, I have screen type c and it should...

I've never seen a screen in the Picasso, but it appears to be a EMF-C embedded in a gauge cluster. If the EMF-C is still accessible separately in Lexia, then you will need to activate the handsfree options ,amongst others,...

I won’t use Aliexpress so cannot advise about them.

As for the last link, no. That is RT3 System and needs the larger scree. It does not support Bluetooth or USB, so forget that one it is even older.

The RDS on the radio (RD4) in my 3008 is not keen on re-tuning to another station. The RDS is working as it picks up the station and the RDS text comes through, and alternative frequencies is turned on, but it almost never changes frequency. Is this a 'feature' - never a problem in the similar units in the 307 or C4 Picasso so I think not? Aerial...
