Independent Citroen Specialist in Glasgow

by zundapp » 06 Nov 2019, 20:32

I had my clutch, DMF and thrust bearing replaced (C4 GP). After frightening estimates from two main dealers, I found an independent Peugeot/Citroen specialist in Glasgow. The job was done quickly (eight hours), and a lot less expensively than using the main dealer.

For anyone looking for an experienced Citroen workshop in this area, I can...

SGG at Dunsfold, Surrey

by white exec » 26 Sep 2019, 11:36

SGG (originally Shalford Green Garage, just outside Guildford) moved to Dunsfold - a few miles down the A281 towards Horsham - several years ago, taking all their Citroen-Peugeot experience with them. At Shalford, the legendary Barry Annalls was based. A long line of 2CV, DS, BX, H-van and other lovelies were always parked next to the Green...

I went to see John at B&L to have my aircon regassed after replacing the condenser and he was absolutely brilliant. He regassed it and when we tried to run it the compressor was faulty so he degassed it for me again so I could replace the compressor clutch, he gave me the oil seals I would need and I asked him how much I owed him up to now and he...

Fusion Fabrications, Moreton, Oxfordshire

by Zelandeth » 05 Feb 2019, 22:53

Have just had an aluminium fuel tank made up by these guys and have been very impressed with both the end result and how pleasant they were to deal with.

Their website is over here .

They can make pretty much anything I think based on what I saw in the workshop, and are very definitely car people.

I'll be going back next time I need an exhaust...

All the indications are that this is still a going concern. Why not give'm a call, pop in (looks like they may be closed Christmas Eve) or drop'm an e-mail?

On 21 August I ordered a replacement drive-shaft on line from someone offering an unbeatable price. + very reasonable p & p.

I also needed an oilseal but hadn’t found it - ’til after I’d placed the order. Apparently they have a flat rate p & p charge which meant the seal would’ve cost the same again so I phoned them, spoke to someone who I took...

When I fiited a new TCA, I painted the cap of the ball joint black to match, 'cos that was bare metal. Nearly 6 months later, most of which the van's been parked there hardly a trace of paint anywhere.

Back to the original story: PSA owning Mr Auto is, I suppose, quite encouraging BUT what...
