To me it seems that there is still that rubber flap which blocks the passage to bleed hole when there is pressure in the reservoir.

Tried all the above cures and failed miserably.
The Xantia was not that old at the time so had to buy a new battery contact lug with screw fittings to clamp the wire.

We have not been afflicted by the Steering Rack failure but both of our X7 models are conventional suspension.
Could LDS be causing the failures with the X7 racks? I know earlier models were not affected, but is it possible that the seals in the earlier racks were designed for LDS? Later racks were they designed for Power Steering fluid? Or are...
