The Haynes Xsara manual makes reference to 1905cc (XUD) and 1868cc (DW8)diesels. The DW10TD is the 90bhp HDI as fitted to most Citroens including the Picasso.

There is plenty of info discussing the differences between the 1.9 XUD and the 2.0 DW10 (HDI).

The DW8 is the same block as the XUD, in the same way that the DW10 is the same block, they share the same parentage. Apparently there isn't a whole lot of difference between the DW8 and the XUD, the DW8 is slightly smaller.
The DW10 is really a bored out XUD block with new heads direct injection heads, the HDI system and other small modifications, in fact the DW10ATED (HDI 110) shares the same crankshaft with the XUD9TD.

Didnt they do the 1.4hdi,In the 307? I seem to remember me and my boss having it as a hire car going to a conference. Slower than Jack McSlow that thing. 0-60 in 60 seconds!
