There appears to be some confusion about the correct part numbers for the hydraulic suspension pipes at the rear of the C5 X7. Several have quoted left as 5270VF and right as 5270VG. Are these around the wrong way?

Dear Svod (Martin),

Late to the party, but nonetheless a party! Many people need this part, since Citroen doesn't love hydrolics anymore :?
Does this friend of yours, sell your manufactured items? Or does he makes them himself? Are they also tested?

I need to convince my garage owner to use parts that do not come from Citroen...

Hope to hear, I'm kinda desparate for these parts. You could be my saviour and hero :)

Hey people , please, this is profanation. Home-made parts? Why? You can buy anything & everything for your C5s at your authorized dealer. I find it hard to believe you actually scrap your C5s because of some pipes. Please don't do that. Those cars are remarkable, they deserve only the best, genuine OEM parts.

Principally because there are many parts that are no longer available, either OEM or aftermarket.

No you cannot.....Citroen are well known for their shamefully poor supply of parts for their older models.

OK but...
They officially stopped production in Europe in 2019, which means all OEM parts must be available to customers for another 10 years. I mean, that's the law, right?
The last time I checked the date, it's 2024, the year of our Lord... so...we should be good for another 5 years.

Your faith is wrongly placed my friend..........everything is about scrapping as many as possible as soon as possible to get new sales (now EV's even if they are from China)...Profits and Green washing....

10 years is not "the law", it is a lot less than that and has loads of loop holes. (for example, "agreements & understandings" are about the last type made not the "whole production run" ... a suspension pipe and glass are not "safety or consumables" for example.

Sales creates customers, service retains them, creating future sales. Disrespect your customers and you lose them, many companies can attest to this.

Undeniable but most companies are short sighted and driven by actuaries and whinging shareholders.
The 'jam today' syndrome.

This is not a worry for them as it only effects "old cars".......in fact you could make the position of it being a financial and operating benefit (as it has been held by PSA/Steliwhatits for many many years)
