I can just see Gibbo burning up the roads of Birmingham in one of these:

Series E Morris 8, worked on a lot of them but never owned one Mick, my first job in the garage when I left school was with a small business owned by an ex soldier, he said "So you want to be a mechanic, take the gearbox out of that." pointing to a pre war Morris 8 like this.
Never was a boy racer Bobins.

Just remembered my younger brother had the Wolseley version of that series E, he wasn't licensed or insured and he demolished a lot of newly erected brickwork on the Perry Bar underpass they were building in Brum at the time.

Re: Favourite colours for cars
and one of the colours is indeed Heather 1973/1974 quite fitting for the period when things were a little less grey white and black in the world of car paint...but hasn't been deposited here maybe because I should have added rather than "favourite" , "interesting/awful" to the thread title.NewcastleFalcon wrote: ↑22 Feb 2024, 09:38 Every colour on an E-type loads of pictures from XKE Data Catalogue with the colour gallery listed from A to Z

Came across this Jensen Interceptor for sale at Barons Southampton this weekend. Nice location , and Reef Blue is a striking enough colour, but what caught my eye were the shadow stripes of a nearby fence making a quirky image.

A convoluted way to get one of today's Falcon shutter clicks into a thread
Do like the C3 Picasso in Purple though, nicely stands out. Gibbo may know the garage where it is for sale its in Chepstow.

Yes, I think the Picasso looks awesome in purple. I recall seeing one at the Chevrons Rally last year...
Well loved by the looks of it and towing rather an interesting caravan
