sometimes the rev counter needle & mph needle go funny when starting engine they flick upto around 50mph & 3000 revs then drop back down once engine has started they work perfect from then on any ideas why this happens?

chek the battary conections terminals clean and tie .chek good contenuity of earth terminal to the chesis and engine.if its OK chek the battary in good condition and maybe need to replace.
