Check the cat out , Ive got w reg hdi xsara and have had it about 9-10 months last week driving along exhaust blew , Well the wield between cat and front pipe went , this required a new cat ats done this for £300 quid , list price from ats is 450 , also check brakes as my xsara is eating brakes ,30000 miles ive done in it and it has had 2 complete set of brakes and dics . Very good on fuel , but what I ve saved on fuel Ive spent out on parts.

The Xsara is a great car, the HDI a gem. I drove a HDI 110 Xsara as a courtesy car and thought it was great, owned a 1.4 Xsara for a few years, now driving a HDI 110 C5 which is great, but not quite as economical as Citroen say it should be, but I spend a lot of time in traffic.
