Outage...today 31/05/2022 late morning ish

Post by NewcastleFalcon »

Was their a widespread outage on the FCF today, or was it restricted to Me and Steve in the Tyneside/Northumberland area?

Mick seems to have been posting in that period I think when it was down for us.

As well as not being able to access www.frenchcarforum.co.uk, all the search engines (bing/google/duckduckgo were ones I tried) all "lost" any ability to find the FCF.

Steve kindly e-mailed me to tell me things were back up again early afternoon.

Regards Neil

I posted at 12.07 and then realised an error so I went in to edit and corrected it but when I went to resubmit I could not get access so it crashed at 12.08ish. Then nothing until service was resumed around 13.55ish. I had to recompose my lost post and then post it again and that was recorded at 14.00!! :-D
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

There was a brief period for a few minutes this afternoon, but I’m not aware of anything earlier or longer.

It looks like a networking issue cut access to our server, which was still happily running. Here is the CPU graph for the day:

There was another brief outage about 3 hours later.

The big spike around 2am is the backup script running.
