Re: Bluetooth problems
I completely understand. That's the trouble with mixed technology - the phone's system software, the car's head unit software and the bluetooth standards / versions.
I've had no issues with my iPhone 6 plus on my 2009 X7 - it just works seamlessly (I have a different Head Unit to you) but most of the problems from members in my experience always seem to be with Android phones unfortunately. Do you have a friend or family member with an iphone you can try it with to see if you have the same problems maybe?

Re: Bluetooth problems
I've done some more digging and can see that there are major problems with the Samsung Galaxy S10 and Bluetooth. Some examples, but there are many more. There was also a technical service bulletin for the Samsung S4, but I can't advise as to what that was about.
There does seem to be some major issues with this model and Bluetooth - and I think they are using the newer Bluetooth 5.0 protocol - which is supposed to be backward compatible - however it does make use of more power saving features - and can interfere with call dropping and loss of connection.
Check your Galaxy's power saving, Battery and advanced Bluetooth features to see if there is anything that might be affecting this - but your problem is very likely to be with Samsung and buggy software again.
