Re: Significant Mileage Photos...

Post by Hell Razor5543 »

On the way back from Bath (after visiting my Mum) I spotted a nice round number coming up. Unfortunately I was on the M4. Fortunately the Leigh Delamare Services were coming up, and were at the right distance to allow me to get that round number (the trip is the distance after filling up).

Not a significant mileage, but hopefully not a significant job number, when ours went into Citroen this week for a belts change...

I still have a couple of Dennis Wheatley inspired Hammer films here:
The Devil Rides Out (1966) and To the Devil a Daughter (1976).
Classic cars, and classic Charles Gray

Yes - The Devil Rides Out is one of my favourite films which I have on DVD. Charles Gray plays a cracking role in the movie.

Just because numerical palindromes are pleasing to my sense of order and symmetry.

Today when I got back from running some errands.

Now that is almost the holy grail of significant mileage moments.

Absolute perfection would have been engineering 789.0 on the tripometer. :-D

Funny how that seems far less of a milestone on Xantias than on virtually any other car save for classic Volvos or Mercedes.

Sadly I got the van very slightly too late to get 54321 on the odometer.

Invacar currently has somewhere around 11500 showing, so hopefully will see 12345 on that at some point...

Filled up the C5 on Sunday, mileage read 79000 but no camera in the car. :(

Still thriving on neglect Fiat's finest in Ellesmere Port's finest with Japan's best 6-speed automatic gearbox running on 140,000 mile old ATF!

Still serving its purpose, three cheers for the old Vectra!
