I'm sure there was something in the manual about disabling it - trouble is trying to find an old manual these days.
Pressing the button twice in quick succession shoves it into manual mode - it should only spring back to life if you press the button on the end of the stalk. Worth a shot.

Re: TrafficMaster
On mine pressing the TM button for five seconds kills it but a BSI reset will resurrect it - as will restarting the car a few seconds after turning it off.
It is very difficult to kill it completely as the wiring goes into a sealed box with the audio system wiring. Serious surgery needed to overcome it.

Traffic master.......
Ay up!
This system is fitted to Otterchops and works from the button above the rh cubby hole lid. It just rabbits on about modes and licence expired and similar rubbish,
It's fairly cheap to renew the licence but does anyone on here use it or has the ubiquitous SatNav (Hex in our vehicle because it has some strange ideas) replaced it totally? Any thoughts? I am always of the opinion that vey little helps.
If it is useless, can Lexia disable it?
Thoughts? Opinions? Brickbats? Personal abuse?

It is largely defunct and a TomTom or similar will do a far better job for far less cash.

Much more betterer! I shall not bother with the piece of junk and, once I get this blasted Lexia working (EEEEEK.COM!!!!!!) I shall see if I can delete the blasted piece of utter annoyance once and for all. Pain in the ass......
