Exits stage left heard mumbling "you don't want a C6" "but it maybe cheap and is top spec" you don't want a C6" "but it is a technical challenge" "YOU don't want a C6" "No all right, maybe....."

Could be a couple of things and neither is a problem:

1. Activated by Lexia - there is a function within the lexia to deploy the spoiler.

2. Activated by driver - If after turning the engine you press the wiper stalk, the spoiler deploys (for cleaning under it) and the wipers rise (to allow you change the blades)

Paul ive seen or worked on 4 Hdi's now with high pressure pump failure too, as you say it wont show on the diagnostic even though its cranking with poor pressure on the rail.

I've just spoken to the seller of the C6, it's located in Slough so not far for me to take a look at which is what I'll be doing in the morning

Apparently the car "Just stopped when it was being driven, no smoke or unusual noises but a few mechanics have looked at it and have advised either buy a new engine or get rid of it to recoup what I can" hmm,,,,,,

Potentially an interesting project, a complete PITA money pit or dare I say it a scrapper.

If I didn't have three Xantias that I'm far too much in love with and I I had the room then I'd be interested. Sadly, those two things stop me in my tracks...

fuel pump in the tank failure if fitted in those.. or engine pump... it really doesnt sound like a lot.. you find a lot of conventional mechanics or technicians see that its citroen and make any excuse to get rid because of past reputation which is sad....

Would be a fun project Richard.
Worst case is its scrap, in which case i bet you could recoupe all of the purchase cost and some by breaking it with minimal effort, i cant see the whole engine is shot, even if the cam belt had snapped it would be a long old job but doable surely? a few bent valves, maybe a holed piston or 4, are engines fitted to oter vehicles exactly the same as the C6's or are there block casting differences etc etc to make it fit in say a disco?

Couple of things that look a bit 'peculiar' so to speak...
ONCE AUCTION ENDS PAYMENT NEEDS TO BE MADE VIA PAYPAL OR CASH ON COLLECTION WITHIN 24 HOURS.
Not got the best feedback either...

However, I do know someone that is bidding on it...
