which sounds like a canbus error or a dead engine ECU.

I don't think that was the problem as Lexia communicated perfectly, the faults recorded related to one ECU communicating to the other. i.e. the ABS and BSI couldn't communicate with the Injection ECU. Car voltage shown on Lexia during the test was a minimum of 13.2V.

mmmmm stop light on.............did they drive it along with no coolant thinking the stop ligt meant something other than stop and toasted the engine?
Having a flat battery or cranking an unwilling engine can cause pending fault codes, modern cars dont like flat batteries and it can throw almost every code they can as ive seen this on a fiat and some other euro tat ive messed about with but rodent infestation plus all four tyres and wheels and likely a shot engine means this puppy is for scrap, come and get it Mr Smart

You know what he'd do with it Dean...

Put a 2.1TD engine in it - with a Bosch pump...

Actually I know of a 2.5 engine. That might go well in a C6

Lots of useful information in that post, you have saved a few of us a lot of trouble =D>
As someone said earlier, just being an ex taxi would rule it out instantly for me. Sounds like a scrapper, some very brave or very stupid person will buy it though

I'll break it if you all stop secretly bidding on it! I love the "trying to throw everyone else off" strategies that go on!

OK Robert fair cop I'll put my hands up, it's in excellent condition, started first time and drove as smooth as silk

Speaking to the the seller today he mentioned that he's had loads of enquiries from Eastern Europeans offering to pop over the channel and collect it on a trailer, good luck to them is what I say.

That doesn't surprise me one bit. I remember my first drive to Poland. Everywhere there were UK registered accident damaged cars being towed back to Poland on trailers or transporter lorries.

This strikes me as odd.
I work with a Polish guy who regularly drives back there. He had a Picasso and now has a C4 Grand Picasso.
I thought he had bought them to sell there and make a bob or two but he says it is illegal to sell RHD cars there (OK for him to use one there though).

Perhaps they just cannibalise them for parts?
