Just casting my my mind around the various films in which I've see French-built cars. Comes to mind:
2 CV in Pink Panther with old Peter Sellers
Then only vaguely are the cars in the Day of the Jackal, but there have to be some in Manon des Source, Les Regles du Jeu (sp?), but I don't recall any in The Duellists.
Any more/amplification?
Anyone know that film with the man and woman in the car broken down in the layby, or what about those two blokes in the lorry carrying high explosives?
Must be some lovely examples in 40s film noir?

The DS makes a far few appearances and I recall a TV drama series on the lines of Taggart giving a V6 XM quite a role. Never consiously seen a Xantia yet. I vaugely spotted a DS in something on TV the other day but I pass on what it was.
Of the many film DS apeparances, one is in the Da Vinci Code but unfortunately it crashed and killed the parents of the French heroine, the one who works alongside the Yank bloke to solve the puzzle.
Charlie Boorman (SP?) drove a DS in France as part of his recent TV series where he used as many modes of transport as possible to go somewhere a long way away.. He ran it out of petrol because the gauge was not very accurate.
Older series of Heartbeat had a gorgeous cream DS Safari, the nurses car. Arguably a better nurses car than the Moggy Minor Nurse Gladys had in Open All Hours...

I've recently (the last couple of weeks) become bordering obsessive fan of Back To The Future - no idea how long this obsession will last
Anyway, in Back to the Future II where the Doc and Marty travel into the future, there is an appearance of what I reckon is a brightly coloured DS, I seem to remember it being within the beginning half of the film....after watching it for the third time.... what did I tell you? bordering obsessed

Not films but there was a black C6 in Spooks - Code 9 and in Silent Witness a couple of weeks ago.
Also Alexi Sayle drove one (presumably his own) around Liverpool a couple of months ago.
Having watched Jean De Florette and Manon Des Sources I can't recall seeing any cars in either of them.
Same with Heaven and Hell - cars were certainly there but can't remember what, same with La Fille Sur Le Pont, Noce Blanche, Nathalie and The Big Blue.
Shameful, really. Must pay more attention.
There's a nice DS in an advert for some fabric conditioner, anybody's guess which one though.

2CV - best bond car ever
There's a 4 headlight DS showing it's nose in a certain beer advert at the moment.
DS also appears in the title scenes of Eureka!, although they've downgraded the suspension to anti-grav.
