Buying a 2008 C5 2.7 hdi 204cv - what to look for?

I am fortunate to be living in France so have plenty of C5s to look at but a 2008 C5 with a 2.7 hdi 204cv engine and auto box has caught my eye.
Are there any special things that I need to check when viewing the car please - stuff relating to the engine mainly

Any leaks from the steering rack or pipes could be a headache, many of the steering pipes are no longer available from Citroen any more. Have a good look for any signs of leaks from the steering. Also look for bodges that people have made to pipes & joints to try to cover up leaks.

Hi Steve,
Your title does say 'What to look for?' I'd suggest .. a different car!! In my view having owned 4 C5's you would be much better off seeking out an older MK1 or Mk2 car with sensible mileage and all the kit you may need. For me the steering rack issues alone were enough to stay away from the Mk3 but I also found their seats a trifle firmer and leaning more towards the German car standards than the original French comfort.
