I have a Citroen Picasso C3 1.6 VTR 2011. I have been told that I may have a broken engine mounting or that the engine chassis wherevtge mounting is may have cracked and need welding. As there is a sound coming from the drivers side when going over a bump or when I turn the engine of at rimes.
My question is,
1. Does the engine need to come out if I have to replace the mounting or if it needs welding ?
Second I cannot get it fixed until next week. Is it safe to drive.
Thanks

Re: Engine mounting
The mount will be replaceable with the engine in, but it may need to come out if it does need welding, depending on where. I can't ever recall one needing welding here however, a broken or worn mount seems more likely.

Re: Engine mounting
Hard to say without seeing it, if it broke properly it could cause some additional damage.
