You can't just replace it!

The Engine ECU, like the BSI are paired once initially programmed at the factory as a set along with the transponders. If you attempt to replace the engine ECU with a used one it will not start. The only way to do this is to have either a new one where it will be configured and paired by a dealer, or to obtain the exact same part from a donor vehicle and send it off to have it wiped. You will still need to have it programmed and paired though.....

My garage will wipe and clone.
But in my VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff] should a donor from VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff] work ?
It has 9HR insted of my 9HL and a automatic instead of my manual .
