Estate series 2, as pictured here:
Can anyone indicate by listing the numbers, which parts always need replacing (other than the bearings 8), which parts frequently show wear, and which parts are good to reuse? 124K miles/200K kilometres on original bits.
I'm too far from stockists, for oversight to be a good thing!
Thanks, Adam.

15 and 16 are upper and lower bump stops,
Adam if you track down the C5 rear arm bearing thread i posted GSF and SKF's part No,
the bearings and seal's are the same for XANT, BX, CX,
citroen do ask an arm and six legs for there bearings,
the plastic linner i usualy dont remove at all,
just run two short beads of mig at oposite sides of each outter race, this not only gives you something to drift them out by, but the heat quite offten cause's them to almost drop out,
useing this method it usualy only just slightly melts the edge of the linner which will still be useable,
regards malcolm

C5 Estate has the same bearings as a C5 sedan; that's where the confusion creeps in I think.
Xantia estate bearings also apply to CX estates.
Due to a desire to minimise downtime (36 hrs ideally) I am going to eat the cost of genuine bits. My confidence that SKF locally could match the bearing in reasonable time, is too low.
Of course, downtime estimates will be shagged if I bust a rear caliper retaining bolt at the same time!
