Just had a look at that nano wrap stuff and it looks like it gives the same affect as my demon shine when applied gently by hand. Maybe Vince could give his opinion on it as he is the resident detail pro :)

For the trailblazer do you mean the badge or the reflector type strip at all that was fitted on some mk1's but never mk2's?

The reflecator strip that is the same colour as the rear lights and goes behind the number plate. :)

Will, Just noticed that it's an S2 Xantia that you're breaking, for some reason I thought it was an XM! As a result, can I put my name against the rubber mats please rather then the wheels as well please?

I dropped the Activa off this morning at a company called Pristine Machine in Port Glasgow to be detailed.

He started work on it at 8am and I got a phone call at 18:00 tonight to tell me that the car would be ready in around 30 minutes. I headed down to collect the car and am amazed at the results :)

The paint is as smooth as glass and feels wonderful. The interior on mine was pretty much spotless but they still spent almost 3 hours giving everything on the interior a good going over. The floor mats have been treated to make them the original colour, everything has been cleaned amazingly and the freshening spray that they've used on the interior smells absolutely fabulous.

Check the reflection out on the back door when I got her home:

It's had something called a hard nano wrap applied to it which means that it can be washed with a very mild shampoo, almost just water, apparently bugs and stuff won't stick to it in theory now either. The shampoo I've bought for it is £10 per litre but is to be diluted to 1:200 before use so should last for ages!

The XM is next on the list to go in in a fortnight :)

He charged £140 for it including all labour, materials etc.

I also bought a bottle of fancy shampoo for it as well so total bill was £149.50. It was a lot of money but the results are totally worth it :)

Chris, am over the moon with the results  can't wait to have the XM done to the same standard.

I bought some microfibre wash mits, towels and sponges the other day from Costco as well so hopefully will be able to keep it in this condition :)

That really isn't that bad a price, you will just have to be superbly careful when washing it now, as swirls are very easy to achieve.

Your XM will look great too, its a shame silver is not as rewarding a colour to clean though.

The nano wrap is meant to be a hard finish to prevent the swirls coming back again :)

Dad's Range Rover is only 10 months old and is going in after the XM to have the paint machine polished and the nano wrap applied to it to protect it as well.

The guys website is http://www.pristinemachine.co.uk, if you look at his gallery his work is great and he's had some pretty special cars pass through his doors :)

I woke up this morning and was actually excited because it was raining and was desperate to see how the water was behaving when landing on the Activa

The water was pretty much running off the side of the car as soon as it touched it... These pictures were taken whilst it was raining very gently after it had been raining quite heavily for about an hour prior...

Here it is on the roof and the bonnet:

Here's a video of the water running off the bonnet: (click on the picture for the video to load)

I love the way the last drop of water in the video jumps the gap between the wing and the bonnet.

Chuffed with the results from yesterdays detailing session is an understatement.

Washing it gently using a micro fibre wash mit and drying it with a microfibre towel. He recommended avoiding a chamois leather at ALL costs!

Told to use a soap with no wax content too.
