Re the 407 door seal issue and airbag warnings, after a few days of rain and testing with the hose, I gave up as water was still pooling on top of the bottom door seal and then running inside the car.

My solution was to put a few holes thru the seal with a leather hole punch tool which seems to allow the water to exit (the door seal gets squashed...

Hello All

The radiator cooling fan on my Clio has stopped coming on when the engine gets hot.

Have checked the fuse in the panel inside the car, but don't know if a fuse or relay in the engine bay fusebox has blown.

Can photograph this fusebox if necessary.

The fan works if the + is connected directly to the battery.

Clutch problems scenic 2 2006 dci 1.5 help

I have a scenic 1.5 dci it lost its clutch pedal other week small fluid leak at slave topped up and got home then went completely only small leak mind

Hi,
I have a 2004 Clio, when first started it is ok for a minute or so then it struggles to tick over and then stalls.
I also lose power when driving, if I depress the clutch and rev it all is then ok for a while.
I have changed the plugs, coli pack, exhaust sensors, TDC sensor, new exhaust including a Cat and cleaned the throttle housing.

Clio catastrophe !

Hi all .
I have a mk3 1.2 16v Clio , 60000 mile and very clean , so , parked it up for 4 month whilst having chemo .
I’m on the mend now and went to fire it up , battery was flat , to be expected .
Charged it up and started car…. So it sounds like it’s missing and then revs right up to 3.5 k
Then the limiter kicks in
I’ve two lights on dash...

Yes you can, when you switch car off normally parking brake activate by itself, just press brake pedal and manually re-lease parking brake, take card out and make sure no one put ignition on. Open brake fluid cap, replace the pads (need a tool to wind pistons back), then press brake pedal a few times slowly until goes hard, start the car, manually...

This is not my car and so the problem is new to me so i'm just looking for a few tips & ideas if anyone has any.

The issue is the Kangoo for the most time simply will not start, it's had a new battery and replacement fuel pipes, there are no air bubbles in the pipes, the primer bulb is always firm and pumping it makes no difference. I cracked off...

I'm suspecting a blown manifold gasket. Hizzzz sound is noticeable from inside the car when accelerating.
Since the manifold is kind of hidden in the rear of the engine, I have not managed to locate the leak visually. But walking along the car while my wife drives slowly up a very steep road, I can clearly smell exhaust and the sound clearly...

Originally It has got a Magneti Marelli/Weber single point ecu system for which I haven’t found wiring diagram to match. Anyone in forum got it?

I've searched but cannot find an answer for the process to reset my warning lights manually on a 1.6 16v Mk1 Megane
Can anyone help?

Youtube etc all seem to show everything but my model & dash/buttons setup!

Usually you need a diagnostic tool to re-set the light. However, if the fault is now cleared, then the light should go off in a few starts.

Thanks for this RichardW - half a dozen journeys later the light went off and (so far at least, fingers crossed!) its stayed off

Engine oil level sensor

A thank you in advance for any help from members on this enquiry.

I have a faulty electronic oil level sensor on my 2010 1.5 dci clio.

Does anyone know the location of this sensor and if you know if this is a dealership part only.

Found it

The sensor is screwed into the bottom of the engine block front at the gearbox side. It has a 2 pin electrical connection which needs to be un-cliped before attempting to un-screw the sensor. It's a tight squeeze with a 19mm open ended spanner as there is not much room between the sensor and the back of the radiator. Also water hoses get...

I have a Renault grand scenic mk2 2.0 petrol automatic car.
The automatic gearbox changed a second hand one in one of the local garage (Hornchurch) , but now not getting the gears. The car start, on the dashboard is showing the correct gears(p, r, n, d).
What we need to check it? I'm not sure the mechanik is a Renault specialist...

Need some help.
Got a Talisman, 2018. It runns good, but on trips longer than 50km (sometime even shorter) engines starts to miss a beat, like there is no fuel.
Error codes so far

DF026 Cylinder 1 injector open circuit

CAN CLIP HELP!

Hello everyone.

I would like some help with anyone who is familiar with CAN CLIP software. I have installed this and is fully working however I need to change the 'Speed signal souce' in UCH from tachograph to ABS so my mileage can be displayed on the cluster. I,m in the process of rebuilding my ZPJ4 24vl engine & have quite a bit of wear on the valve guides...can anyone give me a part number for genuine or a replacement guide that fits the 24vl cylinder heads...no luck on the old e-bay.
