My C3 has now thrown the same fault any help would be very mu h appreciated.

Thanks Richard yes I understand intermittent faults are the worse, but I like to see if I can prevent a failure.

Anyway, I cleared all the faults, replaced the foam filter for the Boost valve, original was crumbling, Cleaned the Air Map Sensor, checked all the vacuum plumbing I could see, after a 40 mile trip, these faults have not reappeared -...

Thank you so much all for the replies managed to get them working, had to go through every single fuse to see which one was blown but found it, there was rust on the connectors too that needed a clean with a wire brush... the joys lol

Cutting it turns off the door open warning. I did have to reset the auto locking in diag afterwards. It wanted to lock itself, probably due to me playing around with connections

Trying to source a suspension pump and bhi unit. I've been told the 2.7 engine has a different pump to the smaller engines. Could anybody confirm that for me, and ideally confirm the part number I need as the label has gone off the original. Vin VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff].

Citroën offer you a choice of the following parts ranges. Depending on your needs and budgets:

Citroën Genuine Parts, called Mopar
Citroën Approved Parts for Citroën’s over 30 months old

Try a proper reset - unlpugging the battery is not a good idea without following the procedure and can lead to electrical issues: BSI Reset / Battery Disconnect / Reconnect Procedure

On the speedo you might be able to remove it and adjust the needle position. I did this on our C5 when the needle became loose due to a crack and put it back on with a dab of glue. On later Citroens the car mileage is recorded on both the speedo and bsi and if one is replaced the car will adopt the mileage whichever is highest. This might not...

Had crossed my mind Gibbo but the holder seems to be falling apart, just plastic disintegration. Cant understand what has caused the problem its as dry as a bone under there. I suspect I will break the bulb trying to get it out. I cant seem to be able to disconnect either of the cables both stuck tight, otherwise I could get the whole assembly out...

Hi Roger, maybe try and get the same info for a mark1 C5 they have the 90 and 110 rhz engine.the only difference I think was the size of the turbo. This might give some better direction for you.

Of course your car has a power steering unit - not sure why you were told that... it's just that yours has an electric power steering system, that is mounted on the steering rack itself.

Okk so a little update, I found two corroded wires on the drivers side rear. I have soldered and heat shrieked the wires. Reset the fault codes using the code reader and re assembled.

I will have a look at the earth points. I'm not sure where these are situated.

But I can start with the battery and the alternator. If I can not measure any loss between those two, then I assume that the earth points are fine.
I can not imagine that 14.4 V leaving the alternator and ending up well in the battery can...

I wanted to replace the rear wiper arm of my Citroen C1 Mk2.

It is very rusty. I managed to remove the nut after using WD-40, but now I can't pull the arm at all. It's not budging.
The bolt is also rusty and stuck in place.

I don't want to apply too much force to not break anything.

Hi all replaced the fuse box with a second hand one (new Citroen part is on back order) and the car is now running. Unfortunately the EM light has came on showing a turbo actuator fault.
When I look at the actuator rod on start up, it does move after a second or two and jumps. I’m assuming that the sensor may be looking for a particular position...

I did say 'maybe'. For me it's a matter of two screws and disconnecting the wiring plug. Then easing the headlamp unit out. Thirty seconds at most.

Allegedly the parts are ‘improved’ but they are still having issues to this day with the tanks on new models. The system is still just not fit for purpose.

I would expect that live data in the gearbox ECU will give the cause for it not authorising the engine start.

I agree, it's more so I can check the route to the BSI.
It could well be the Airbag ecu itself but that shows no signs of corrosion or anything untoward so just want to make sure I'm seeing all of the splices and potential pinch points before I spend out on an ecu. It's probably far more likely a wire than the module, I just can't find anything...

As odd as it might sound, and although there seems to be no connection, after changing the car's oil, the noise in the pedal stopped and the sensation I described at the pedal's end of travel disappeared. The boot handle, I sprayed contact cleaner into it and removed the micro switch wires to try to remove it.

Either or both of these has fixed the switch. Perhaps the switch contacts, I've scraped of surface corrosion.

But now I just have to tap the outer handle or pull it's edge for the boot to open, I can hear the beep of the switch...

Don't know if he managed to but it's still being used.

Great, sometimes these need a little time to calibrate with a new battery, but can also mean some electrical systems don't get enough power on weak battery with everything else going on to work properly.
