Due to excessive server loading caused by some badly behaved 'bots' (automated content collectors), I have changed the anti-ddos settings on the site to be much more aggressive.

This has had the desired effect of reducing the server loading from 100% to about 10% (the other 90% was coming from just 8 IP addresses located in China).

Re the 407 door seal issue and airbag warnings, after a few days of rain and testing with the hose, I gave up as water was still pooling on top of the bottom door seal and then running inside the car.

My solution was to put a few holes thru the seal with a leather hole punch tool which seems to allow the water to exit (the door seal gets squashed...

So, my front wipers are not working this morning, try the stalk but nothing happens, still spray screen wash on, so assume the stalk is OK. If one motor fails, would they both not do anything? the new price is astromomical, so really i want to change the broken one only. Any idea on finding where the problem is?

My indicator is intermittent, if you pull the bulb away from the holder it comes on, let it go and it goes off. I don't think I can get the bulb out without breaking it and I don't suppose I can get a new one as its part of the loom but if I could snip the wire leaving the bulb holder on I could just join the wires.

My hubby's C8 has been working fine. Drove it to a job this morning and when he came to go home the car wouldn't unlock. Can open the car with the key triggering the alarm. Turning the key in the ignition does nothing. Car battery is only 2 or so months old and tried both fobs.

C5 clutch master cylinder

My clutch master cylinder has basically seized
I cannot get the same cylinder anywhere including Citroen dealers
The low and high pressure connections are at right angles to the cylinder so pipes run against the bulkhead
Part number is 2182 A6
9681439680 ( this number not known by dealers)

I have a Picasso C3 2011 1.6 VTR.
When I engage reverse and the car moves. There is a creaking sound that appears to eminate from the rear of the car. I had it in the garage and they fitted a new ball joint on the drivers side. But the noise is still there when reversing. They say they cannot find anything wrong other than that joint. Any help...

Of course your car has a power steering unit - not sure why you were told that... it's just that yours has an electric power steering system, that is mounted on the steering rack itself.

It's a complete sealed unit and wouldn't have anything to do with creaking in reverse as all it is doing is turning the wheels, whether you are going forward or...

Hi all, was just swapping some bulbs on the rear of my c5 x7 to LED ones and now my right hand indicator is not working.
Tested it with a test lamp and have no signal, swapped the bulb for the opposite one which is definitely good, nothing.

Hi All,

I recently changed my brake pads on my C4. It has an electric hand brake so I had to use a diagnostic machine to release the callipers.

Unfortunately a few weeks after I have got a braking fault which has disabled my handbrake (meaning I can not engage it anymore). It is coming up with parking brake fault stop vehicle in the dashboard....

Okk so a little update, I found two corroded wires on the drivers side rear. I have soldered and heat shrieked the wires. Reset the fault codes using the code reader and re assembled.

I've recently acquired a 2014 Jumpy 2.0HDI and had a few minor issues since. Both headlights failed in the last couple of weeks.
On replacing the second one I've noticed that the alternator voltage is around 15.1 Volt (car running).
This seems a bit high to me (I assume up to 14.7 would be acceptable but not higher).

I wanted to replace the rear wiper arm of my Citroen C1 Mk2.

It is very rusty. I managed to remove the nut after using WD-40, but now I can't pull the arm at all. It's not budging.
The bolt is also rusty and stuck in place.

UPDATE: I have discovered the problem.... I am an Idiot!!!! Basically after the Global Test I left it on Built-in systems Interface rather than switching it to Engine Management ECU... so it is all back to happy again.

I've had the adblue tank, heated pump, adblue injector and NOx sensor replaced by Citroen on a 2019 Berlingo. Will this fix the issue for good or am I likely to have adblue problems on the future? Have the new parts been improved at all?

2 weeks ago the far side dipped beam headlight failed. I checked the bulb and fuse and they are both are OK. Today the other dipped beam headlight has also failed.(fuse and bulb OK) Both side lights and headlights are working OK.

I seem to get more than my fair share of electrical faults. This is the replacement for the estate with all the engine problems, didn't particularly want a 1600 but it was local and very tidy, its a 2010. I still have the other car but they want £1300 + to fit a new clutch. Incidentally is the steering rack in this one different, its the first one...

It could well be the Airbag ecu itself but that shows no signs of corrosion or anything untoward so just want to make sure I'm seeing all of the splices and potential pinch points before I spend out on an ecu. It's probably far more likely a wire than the module, I just can't find anything...

Hi all.
My sometimes working hatchback boot release switch.

When I exit the car the boot will either unlock completely and pop up or just unlock, but boot handle won't work to open it.
And then a performance of locking/unlocking until it decides to open.

Resolved.

The boot handle, I sprayed contact cleaner into it and removed the micro switch wires to try to remove it.

Either or both of these has fixed the switch. Perhaps the switch contacts, I've scraped of surface corrosion.

But now I just have to tap the outer handle or pull it's edge for the boot to open, I can hear the beep of the switch...

Well, where to start - so I'll start from the beginning!

I was out in town yesterday when I got a warning on about the charging circuit and a message I couldn't remember - so made a beeline for home. A/C went off and cabin fan started going off - so that confirmed system was not charging - steering got lumpy towards the end of the 18 mile journey...

I am interested in buying my next C5. I found a really good deal on a C5 Aircross from late 2019 with PureTech 180 S&S Shine EAT8.
Does this particular engine still have the issue with the timing belt? The one where it runs in the oil and start to dissolve and needs to be replaced every 6 years?

Any other issues to look out for?

2010 dispatch engine swap help

Hi I have a 2010 dispatch combi that got flood damaged 2 bent rods ets so I don't mind rebuilding it but will be a lot quicker and cheaper to put a replacement in
Problem is it has a 120 hp RHK DW10UTED4 engine in and finding an engine with less than a million miles on it or need to remortgage is impossible but there are loads of picasso RHJ...

Hi still having problems with anti theft message coming up on dash, however I've found if I turn on ignition on then very slightly turn the key but not quite enough to engage the starter the triangle with ! light goes out and car starts fine.
So far I've replaced the transponder ring and ignition switch and tried the BSI reset, neither made any...

Stop Start hasn't worked for a while now, because the battery was old and only holding less than 70% charge. The accumulateor reports at 30%. Well the battery finally gave up last week and sent the dashboard into Christmas tree mode. The date on the battery 6.2014, so it done well.

Hello, could someone confirm the correct way to bleed the clutch cylinder in a Citroen C5 II 2006 FAP 136CV?

I also need to replace or clean PCV and change the gaskets on the high engine cover (rocker cover I think it's called). Is there a correct manual or procedure to do it?

I hope to solve the clutch vibration that it produces when leaving (they installed valeo single mass clutch 60,000km ago) and it shakes when leaving, very annoying

Earlier today I removed my Air Doser and whilst I was there I decided to peer into the inlet manifold.

Firstly in an effort to improve my 01 bingo I bought some seats from a 2017 model.
Anyone done this conversion ?
I know I’ll have to make a beaker but that’s no problem.
Secondly, before I fit these I need to put the old ones back in but didn’t note where the plastic spacers went. Doh !

Hi
This morning, while driving to work, after about 20km's ride, a gear box fault warning appeared, along with the service went on and it showed D3 constantly (with a flashing light above it). I was on the highway and there was noting I could do, so, I drove on about 10 more kilometers until I've reached my destination. I turned the engine off....

I’ve been forced to change the gearbox oil (pulled the driveshaft out at the transmission end when replacing the lower suspension arm) and wanted to check a few things first:

Hi new to this having a nightmare with fault P000A. I swapped the cam sensors first of all, fault did not swap to exhaust. Check voltages to cam sensors 5 volts found. Swapped VVT solenoids when removed no contamination found, resistances checked coils both same ohm reading powered solenoids on bench all ok.

Hello,

yesterday I changed the fuel filter on my Citroen C5 Aircross with BlueHDI 180 engine.

The old/original filter was attached at the bottom of the fuel filter housing and looked like this:

Relay sliding door central locking fob vs drivers door

The sliding door of our Relay will only lock using the remote key fob (and only on the second press - first clunk = front doors, 2nd clunk = sliding door) - should I be able to lock it with the key in the drivers door as well? It will unlock using the key in the drivers door, but not lock.
Should I start looking for wiring diagrams,...

Hey all,

I have a 2916 Citroen relay bluehdi 2.0 and it overheats on inclines recently.

Overheating on inclines.
New waterpump and belt and thermostat housing Inc thermostat 8months
New radiator 1month
New radiator fans 14months
No leaking seen.
No loss of fluids when driving only when it's overheated.

I would have thought a cold heater would not suggest a thermostat not opening fault but rather it being open all the time. A cold heater could be a sign of its heater flap not opening or an air lock or a blockage in the heater matrix and a check of its supply/return hoses being hot could help check these.
