Due to excessive server loading caused by some badly behaved 'bots' (automated content collectors), I have changed the anti-ddos settings on the site to be much more aggressive.

This has had the desired effect of reducing the server loading from 100% to about 10% (the other 90% was coming from just 8 IP addresses located in China).

Re the 407 door seal issue and airbag warnings, after a few days of rain and testing with the hose, I gave up as water was still pooling on top of the bottom door seal and then running inside the car.

My solution was to put a few holes thru the seal with a leather hole punch tool which seems to allow the water to exit (the door seal gets squashed...

Would never deliberately spin the wheels lol bit too old for that carry on, was showing a friend how the car was going on a quiet b road and was a little rough going from 2nd to 3rd, the rubber part of the mount was already on its way out, really shouldnt have been driving like that knowing it would go wrong........

I'm mark from sunderland but don't let that put off giving me some advice and help in a sticky situation,

I've been using our lasses 1.4 xsara and i think i've par-boiled it so to speak about 3 weeks ago the temp gauge shot up and dash lights ordered me to stop but however being the rebelious type...

It does seem like the head gasket has gone. If it has been heated too long or to often then the head may well be cracked (don't ask me how I know).

Can't advise on the special tools that may be required but someone will do soon.

As for flushing, I would stay well clear of domestic cleaning media - they will foam and cause air pockets that may...

:D I've been fitting PSA engines into the rear engined VW's for nearly twenty years , how does a D Turbo engine fair :lol:

VW fitted a 1.6D then later a 1.6TD :roll: so maybe were looking at another 20bhp and masses of torque which is helped by a heavier flywheel , going through the gears the turbo is still in and no lag so pushes along really...

Hi everyone,
Bought a new car today a 205 1.6 Gti to replace my 309 gti

H reg and its mint inside and out last owner had it for 10 years and kept it in the garage has a stack of paperwork with it. Has done 110,000 FSH. Has half leather interior which is nice. Quite suprised how nippy it is for a 1.6.

All ive got planned for it is a stainless...

hi guys,wife has just got a 206cc so thought id better join up to the fountain of knowledge thats Frenchcarforum!.spent most of the last 15 years playing with hondas which compared to the pug are sooo easy to deal with :lol: .
not a pug newbie tho,got my first 205gti in 92!,lots of 306 dturbo 3dr,309 gti. but i loved the wee 205 stdt.

Hi All

I have recently brought and a proud owner of A 2003 CITROEN C5 VTR
:D

I have owned 3 Citroens in the past and all seemed to be fine so hoping this is too as the last car a Rover 75 was a nightmare for me

Previous Citroen's were
ZX Volcane
ZX D Advantage
AX 1.4 D

Hope to pick up some good hints and meet up with some other C5...
