Re the 407 door seal issue and airbag warnings, after a few days of rain and testing with the hose, I gave up as water was still pooling on top of the bottom door seal and then running inside the car.

My solution was to put a few holes thru the seal with a leather hole punch tool which seems to allow the water to exit (the door seal gets squashed...

I refuse to scrap it!! It starts stops and runs and it never burned one drop of oil. You can actually make out the colour of the oil its not completely...

Hello all,
After a few years away I'm back again. I bought an 11 plate Peugeot 3008 Exclusive auto this morning from a lovely traditional old garage in Tamworth, Staffs.
They've been looking after it for some years for a local lady and it has just had a new clutch fitted.
This is the first time I've driven an egs box and to be honest it drove...

the gearbox itself has no level plug and is filled via a breather on the top of the box in a god awful location.

It's good to know some things never change in the world of PSA cars :roll: I've never known an PSA gearbox of any sort be easy to refill :twisted: :lol:

It's quite reassuring really!

My folks had a couple of BX hatchbacks in the 90's and I remember thinking how cool the hydropneumatic suspension and interior design was. Rotating drum Speedo sticks out in my mind. When I was about 18 they replaced mums BX and despite my pleading to have it as my first car she sold it to a family friend and exchanged it for a ford...

Just bought a 2010 Nemo 1.4HDi van from a mate to fill a vehicle gap for my business..... Lifelong Ford fan, plas got into Landrovers a few years ago.. Thats a whole other forum..!!

I will say that, as the HDi engines are quick to start even in the cold, you probably don't need to replace the glow plugs (but if you decide to, be careful, as there have been occasions where the tip has snapped off and gone into the cylinder, with all the grief that can cause).
