Re: Relay radio stuck on update
Firmware updates can take as long as 40 minutes depending on the system.
You must leave the vehicle engine running during a firmware update, as if the vehicle goes into economy mode during the process it can brick the unit.
Next, make sure you have the correct firmware version for your unit and also that the file or USB stick you are using is in the compatible format (usually FAT32) and that the USB and the firmware is not corrupt.
Once you've checked out all these, then start again and allow the update to fully complete, which may involve one or more restarts - so don't remove the USB stick in case it is just rebooting the head unit to continue the update.
Often the head units copy the firmware into temporary memory and check the integrity of the file system, before overwriting the firmware and rebooting one or more times to complete the process.

I will try tonight after work. thanks for advice
Re: Relay radio stuck on update
I have managed to sort it out now. it was down to the USB. I was using a 16gb one. so swapped it to a 4gb. Plugged my phone into the USB first until it started to charge and then unplugged it and put the USB in. it restarted the update process straight away. many thanks for your advice.

Re: Relay radio stuck on update
I have just got a Relay which has been converted to a horse box and have exactly the same challenge with my head unit, so it needs a firmware upgrade.
If this can be done online, great, I will find the link (any help here would be appreciated), I understand I need to FAT a jump drive, etc., but in the head unit shown in the pic from the OP, please can someone tell me where the USB input is ?!?
Many thanks in advance,
M6

Re: Relay radio stuck on update
Question as I have the exact same issue.
How did you get it to restart the update?
My radio is perm stuck on that screen doesn't power off with ignition etc.
Did you pull the fuse to it?
