Peugeot 407 2.0 HDI Cut off

Post by edge77 »

Hi to all dear members!

I have a strange problem with my 407 HDI and i cant find whats causing it!

Car runs great, but sometimes when acelarating hard, its cuts off very quick, doesnt go off.

This is anoying and gives a real hard bump when it happens wich is not healthy!

To mention, thats this happens not always.

Someone has any guess on what it could be? No errors on Lexia scan.

Thanks and best regards

Hi, and :welc: to the Forum. At a guess (but this is a guess, mind) the fuel regulator might be at fault. I have read (on the forum) of cases where members have had the HDi engines lose power under load, and replacing the regulator usually sorts the problem. I cannot offer any further advice, but other, more knowledgeable members should come up with useful suggestions.

Thanks for taking your time to reply dear!

Yep, the thing is, it doesnt have any lack of power, its has EGR OFF AND DPF OFF with Stage 1!

This usualy only happens, not always, when pushing hard and fast! like a milisecond cut...but enough to make a big "bam" like u turn off and on the engine, no lights come up or engine faults!
