Re: Engine fault repair needed
There are several possibilities, they are all listed in the owner handbook.
1) Yellow Triangle with exclamation mark in the triangle and the SERVICE light on. It can be fixed or displayed temporarily.
a) Fixed: A major fault has occurred for which there is no specific warning lamp. Identify the fault by reading the message shown on the screen and contact a PEUGEOT dealer.
b) Temporary: A minor fault has occurred for which there is no specific warning lamp. Identify the fault by reading the message shown on the screen, such as, for example:
- the engine oil level,
- the screenwash level,
- the remote control battery,
- saturation of the particle emission filter (Diesel).
For any other faults, contact a PEUGEOT dealer.
2) Yellow Warning Triangle with a vertical line in the triangle and ESP written underneath: A warning message: "Dynamic stability control (ESP/ASR)"
a) Flashing: This is normal if the ESP system is activated whilst driving. It tells you the system is preventing a skid or tacking action to keep the car stable. It disappears after a few seconds or when it has finished its intervention.
b) Fixed: Assuming you have not pressed the ESP button for a few seconds to deactivate the ESP function temporarily, then the ESP/ASR system is faulty and your dealer needs to check it over.
