C003A + C0037 Citroen C4 Grand picasso

Post by noworries2004 »

Hi My Citroen C4 Grand Picasso Exclusive plus is putting up loads of faults. NO electronic hand brake/ ABS faults ESP faults etc.
I have read the faults and teh following keep showing up - C0037 + C003A pointing to rear left and right ABS sensors.
I doubt 2 of them have failed but would like to check the wiring from the ECU.
Does anyone have the wiring diagram for 2014 GP exclusive plus?

Thanks

There is wiring diagrams to buy on eBay and similar sites. Both sensors in the rear sounds a bit much, but it is not impossible. Have you checked the sensors visually? One can also hook up a oscilloscope to the actual sensor, and turn the wheel (Done that, showed that a brand new sensor was faulty)

Thanks
Checked the sensors visually and they looked ok.
Didnt put an oscilloscope on them but will try it at the weekend maybe.

If i knew where these went to it would help. Do you know where the ABS ECU is in the engine bay?

Ok, so just be aware that there was a Technical Service Bulletin for the C4 Picasso (B78) that specifically mentions these fault codes:

C156C92, C00372F, C003712, C003711, C003701, C003762, C003A2F, C003A12, C003A11, C003A01, C003A62, C003811, C003B11

I have detailed the fault on my post here and what is involved to check it:

You can also see another member with the same problem and his photos of the corrosion that caused the wiring breaks / corrosion.

Finally got teh the root of thsi issue.

Corrosion + Crack in wire for Handbrake fault.
ABS faults on left and right.
Left ABS cabling above wheel hub had one crack in wiring and i fixed that and fault code was gone.
Right ABS cabling above wheel hub had 2 different cracks/corrosion on the wire. I fixed these by sniping and joining again.

Pictures and info from this post was very helpful.
