She is looking lovely, and getting better every day. Soon CGAT will have some competition (try searching for Citroen CX CGAT).

Hello all. Been a while since I updated this, well, until recently the weather was pretty benign so I pressed on. It’s now more than 90% finished, a final trip to Plaeides to fit new inner pistons and seals, discs, pads, top and bottom ball joints and replace the driveshaft intermediate bearing. Firstly, a HUGE thumbs up for Plaeides, proper old school knowledge and service! The car is now absolutely superb! It’s the best driving CX I’ve ever, err, driven! The extra power and torque is fantastic, yet unobtrusive, and the DTR T2 gearbox means it’s doing 2,300 rpm at 70mph, probably helped a bit by the 16” wheels. It’s quite soft, yet composed, and with all the modern soundproofing I destroyed my knuckles fitting it’s very quiet. It really does everything a CX Turbo should but just ‘more!’ I’ve done a few longer runs in it, 3hrs and all seems good . Now to point it towards Europe and go and use it for what I built it for!

What 16" wheels are you using?
Have done A LOT of reading looking at bolt pattern, PCD, centre bore offset (ET), and finding a close match is not so bad, being confident about a match is less so....
Have narrowed it to Alfa or Fiat, and then seen some others, but the more I look the more I doubt...

Hi,
I just bought 16" CX Basis wheels and they look very nice !
From what I understood you can also use Alfa, Volvo 850, S, V70 and Evasion, 806 wheels.
by the way I was wondering how the engine rotation captor works in your system, is it with a modified camshaft pulley ?
thanks
PE
