Ds 7 crossback e tense 300hp 4*4

Post by KonstantinosG »

In Ds 7 crossback e tense 4*4 is advanced grip control as equipment/system? (Or if it can be added as additional equipment ) . Or is it not compatible - necessary in this hybrid version ?

'Advanced Traction Control' is not shown as a stand alone option available for the E-TENSE models (Ultra Prestige). So unclear as to whether the Hybrid system supports this or not. You'd need to confirm this with the dealer.

Look on page 25 of the PDF:

Thank you! I saw in a presentation video on the main screen (where any settings are made the tester/presenter, who adjusts the "traction control". Apparently he's got a similar system from the factory in the first while.

Yes, it's one of the driving 'modes' that can be selected from the menu, so if not fitted, I suspect it won't be shown.

I suspect that the traction control shown in the presentation is placed from the beginning in the car, from the factory(by default) and has nothing to do with adding additional equipment.Displayed as a setting/option on the middle screen.

That is correct - it's not something you can 'add-on'. The system is integrated into the the other vehicle systems when built.

You mean that the e-tense is placed the traction control from the factory, from the production line? Maybe that's why he doesn't have it as an option as extra equipment when we shape the car?

What I'm saying is that most of safety type features are fitted at the factory as they are integrated into the vehicle's electronic control systems and not something that you can generally add on at a later date.

Some of the technology is part of 'add-on' or extra packs that you buy at the point of ordering the car and are not something you can add on later. Some of the technology only applies to some models and not others, for several reasons: 1) A certain feature or set of features are available and installed on a model with a particular trim level and are designed to work with the other options on that trim level. 2) Some additional feature packs are only available on certain trim levels as they may not be compatible with the features already installed on a different trim level / model. So they cannot be combined.

Certain types of technology are controlled by a specific set of sensors / and electronic control modules and will not work on all configurations. That is why you need to make sure you get what you want when you place your order as you can't generally add anything on later. But even then, you may not be able to order certain technology packs with your chosen model as again they may not be compatible or have different options on that model for the reasons I explained before.

Primarily I am interested in e tense because of the features it has. Power (200hp) 4*4 and modern engine technology (hybrid) . If it has both traction control or grip control even better. If the company does not install it obviously has some reason and I guess it is not due to cost in such a car but because of compatibility as you mentioned . You probably don't need any, unnecessary electronics

All these vehicles will have some form of ESP (which includes a form of traction control). You can see ESP is included as standard on the range as it is a manufacturer requirement now to fit.

But the latest hybrid vehicles may need to use a different system because of the way the electric powertrain system operates for example.

Thanks for the reply and update .I'm trying to find information from the manual of e-tense about traction control k grip control but I can not find the manual . I don't think the salesman here is going to deal with this. They're only concerned about sales
