There was a site outage a little earlier today, not directly due to the work I had been doing, but the daily backup script got a little enthusiastic and the server ran out of disk space. I am sweeping up the debris now.

I'm getting the occasional slow load times for odd pages again. Again though, I wouldn't like to point the blame at the forum software/configs. Anyone else getting them ?

Intermittently but not very often.

I am hoping that this is connected to the email delivery problem which I will be investigating.

We just had a problem for about half an hour where the forum was sending seemingly random responses due to a configuration error.

20-30 second page loads, and with this particular thread click on page 3 and it reverts back to page 1

Some strange behaviour this end too, went to look at Jim's blog and it sticks on page one also. Speed seems good so far though.

And now this thread has reverted to page one also, and I notice my credentials are now showing as Newcastle Falcon for some reason! (this is Dan, ekjdm14, posting)

OK not sure if my posts went through or not as can't see them, noticed reversion to page 1 as above & when I posted about it this thread also did the same & showed me to be logged in as Neil somehow!!!

Sorry to have caused that.

I inadvertently copied in part of a server configuration file from another site, and it caused the server cache to start giving out the wrong pages.

It should be OK again now.

Just so long as it remains as a shebang, and does not degrade into a bang! (especially if she who must be obeyed gets involved, making it a she bang!)

I've noticed today on both Androids/Chrome and W10/Firefox that I'm occasionally showing as logged out on the forum index page, but if I go to any of the individual forum sections I'm shown as logged in. I'm not actually having to manually log in at any time though.
Sadly no longer a C5 owner :(
